More Information:

Jamie Samuelsen, radio host on 97.1, unfortunately lost his battle to colon cancer on August 1st, 2020. He was a profound and beloved figure on the radio, and sports news. League Sports wanted to commemorate him and host a baseball tournament in his name. They hosted a softball game on Friday while the youth boys tournament continued over the weekend. The softball game was a special event between local sports and news celebrities against the Troy teachers. Local legends Emcee, Roop Raj. Stoney, Wojo, and Dan Miller announced the game, Herman Moore did the coin toss, Mayor Ethan Baker showed his support, and many others all came together to make this event possible. Throughout the event money was raised to donate to two charities helping the fight against colon cancer. All together League Sports raised over $13,000 and had a successful event.
